We love all Pilates and we believe that the traditional approach is freakin’ amazing. In this workout, expect to move your body in all planes of motion and mobilize your spine in flexion, rotation, lateral flexion, and extension. a total body workout that will leave you feeling stronger, more flexible, toned and standing with improved body alignment and coordination. Class size is limited people so we can provide individualized attention in a group setting. We work with small props to continue to challenge the body and we work on transition and fluidity. At least one private session and /or Intro to Pilates session is required before joining a group class

The Foundation class is designed to introduce someone new to the concepts of Pilates, the terminology, the language we use, but also to build the body up in proper alignment and form.
What you might not know is that the Foundation class is also designed for elite athletes or sports aficionados for conditioning, strengthening and re-aligning. Most importantly, Pilates is not running, cross-fit, body-building, swimming, etc… and even if you are a strong athlete outside of Pilates, you should start with a Foundation class. Basically, it’s a new movement for your body and if you want to do it properly, start at the beginning. The building blocks of Pilates during this foundation class are imperative to a strong, connected core that will support you in all your exercises.
You are never too strong to take it back to basics and you will always benefit more in your other classes you take at the studio or in your other exercises you do outside the studio if you pepper in some beginner level classes. So get going and book your Foundation class today!

Reformer Circuit that is guaranteed to make you sweat and improve your fitness in no time at all. Reformer circuit will consist of exercises both on and off the Reformer Pilates machine and sometimes in our upstairs studio for part of class! Blending pilates principles, strength training, high energy workouts and will boost your fitness, strength and stamina while also burning fat. his will provide a full-body conditioning, tough, upbeat and energizing workout.

Part jumpboard pilates on the reformer, part reformer pilates without the jumpbard. fun dynamic class! It's spring time - are you so ready to incorporate a little more cardio into your Pilates practice?!The jumpboard is a great way to do that, while keeping the workout low-impact and safe for the body.

This class is for regular Reformer class goers who are looking to take their Reformer classes to the next level. Beginners and pre and post-natal members are not recommended to attend this class. The class will be continually moving at an energetic pace set by the instructor taking you through dynamic moves on the Reformer as well as advanced familiar Reformer Pilates exercises. The Pilates principles will remain a part of the base foundation of the program as well as the all-important Core muscles still remaining a main focus of the workout. With all the benefits of regular Reformer Pilates this class will create an even more efficient and rewarding workout with full body dynamic strength training and awesome stretches to receive a well-rounded workout.

Come and join us for a mindful class where we work on form, balance and intentional stretching on the Pilates reformer. Explore connecting with your body mindfully , mastering the technique of controlled breathing, and embracing the grace of purposeful flexibility and movement in our Pilates Reformer Mindful Stretch class. Good for all levels.

Join us for a fun circuit class upstairs at SAW! We incorporate cardio with the treadmill and rowing machine, we add in strength with weights, resistance training and body weight exercises.

Open Studio is easy, it works and it has been tested for many many years. Joseph Pilates, the founder of the method, did exactly this. He didn't with the exception of his classes with dancers - teach group classes. It was just Pilates - You came in - he assessed you and you had some private sessions, he taught you exercises and after a handful of private lessons, you were on your own. It worked for him, and it can work for us.
We are excited to open " Independent / Open Practice" at SAW Pilates - just like Joe had! We aren't doing away with our group classes, but we are adding the Independent / Open Studio Practice to our schedule in the coming year... Over the years we have trained our clients to be dependent on us as instructors, and while some of the step by step instructions is necessary - most people do not need micro managed all the time forever and ever.. :) Everyone should get to the point where they are so connected to their body and their practice that they have enough trust to move and take ownership of their movement and bodies. We want you to enjoy and benefit from your Pilates classes. We require a 12 hours’ notice for cancellations. Cancellations made prior to this window are rescheduled with no penalty. Cancellations made without 12 hours’ notice but prior to the start of the session forfeit their class. No-shows will forfeit their class as well.
We understand stuff happens—projects at work pop up, kids get sick, tires go flat. Most people respect the policy after a gentle reminder and tend not to have frequent last-minute conflicts or cancellations arise. However, I found that routinely not charging for late cancellations sets a precedent some people end up taking advantage of. You will not lose your class should extenuating circumstances arise.
What are extenuating circumstances?
Death in the family, hospitalization, natural occurring weather - snow storm, flood, etc .
What are not extenuating circumstances?
Everyday fluctuations in work, school or social schedules.
Pilates tends to be most helpful to people who view their appointments as an important and valuable component of their lives.
HOW TO RESCHEDULE A CLASS/APPOINTMENT
Please ensure you reschedule more than 12 hours before the class starts time to avoid forfeiting your class
If you would like to cancel or modify a reservation or appointment, please do the following:
1. Log into your account on our site and click “Cancel” or “Reschedule” next to the class you wish to cancel on your Schedule.
2. “Late Cancel” appears when the online cancellation period has passed.
3. If you are authorized to reschedule, you will see the option on your screen.
4. If you get stuck with rescheduling, please get in touch and let us know.
Please note: We will respond to emails within 72 hours.
Late to Class - it's okay...we get it. But, please do your best to be on time.
The cancellation policy gives us time to inform our waitlist clients of any availability, as well as keeping our staff schedules filled, thus better serving everyone. SAW Pilates policies are presented and provided in the best quality and tradition of excellent service for our established and future clientele.
